About Me

Hi There, I’m Jack Cockle

I’m an aspiring Product Designer, currently studying MSc Industrial Digitalisation at MMU, having graduated with a first class degree in Sustainable Product Design from Falmouth University with a special interest in CAD and 3D Printing technologies and techniques.

I believe that 3D Printing has great potential in aiding the development of a more sustainable society because of the unique advantages offered by the various additive manufacturing technologies over more traditional techniques. My interest and passion for the industry is evident throughout my university work, my social media pages and my status as a CREATE Education ambassador.

Throughout my time at university, I have also been active within industry, having worked with 3D Kernow in Falmouth and attended and exhibited at conventions such as TCT and TechAbility with The CREATE Education Project. This exposure has allowed me to network more freely in order to begin nurturing a professional identity.

I have 11 GCSEs from A* – B or equivalent from studying at Prince Henry’s High School in Evesham, Worcestershire from 2012 to 2015. This includes Sciences, English, Maths and Product Design.

A Levels

I continued my education at Prince Henry’s High School by studying A-Level Chemistry (B), Product Design (B) and German (E) which boosted the technical but creative mindset that I nurtured during my GCSE’s.

Undergraduate Degree (BA)

From 2017 to 2020 I studied at Falmouth University, refining my design skills and graduating with a First Class Degree in BA (Hons) Sustainable Product Design, learning lots of design practices such as metalwork and mould-making, but took a particular interest in CAD and 3D Printing.

Postgraduate Degree (MSc)

I am currently studying MSc industrial Digitalisation at Manchester Metropolitan University, furthering my specialised education in CAD and 3D Printing technologies whilst picking up new skills in research and project management.
